From hell, through the centre of the universe up to heaven: we’ll introduce you all of the visions that Thai people have about these three worlds
We will take you for a walk around the fascinating worlds of Buddhist beliefs: to present your centre of the universe on the top of the hill (to be as close as possible to all of the gods) and unusual temple located in the cave leading its visitors straight to heaven. In cave named Elephant’s Belly, we’ll make you feel like on the very bottom of the world, but it’s not the end of this land: we’ll walk even lower to see and feel the atmosphere of Buddhist inferno. Although these worlds might sound creepy, we’ll end up on the top of the hill, which is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of southern Thailand. You’ll feel like real titan while watching Phang-Nga Bay from this hill!
Hell and Heaven is a tour that combines sightseeing with wild nature. You’ll listen to many different stories about Thai beliefs, about Buddha, Buddhist monks, reincarnation, karma, nirvana as well as about ordinary things in Hindu and Buddhism philosophies. All of the places we’ll visit on that day are strictly connected with visions of inferno or heaven: two different worlds which occur in all religions. We’ll show you the most beautiful places in the area, temples with Buddha relics, impressing limestone rocks and cliffs with wild jungle growth all over around, karst cave and breathtaking viewpoint.
The places we’re visiting are very interesting for adults and youth;
You’ll get a chance for unique pictures as most of the sites are unknown for tourists;
This tour might be organised either from Phuket or from Khao Lak or Krabi/Ao Nang.
Hell is depicted in a way that’s unsuitable for small or sensitive children – they might get scared. Right next to this attraction is placed nice playground where children can wait with one of its parents. We’re hanging around the place for about one hour, but the last 20 minutes we’re spending in inferno. Sensitive people may skip then the last 20 minutes.
We want to mention that:
To spend as best time as possible on this tour, make sure you got proper clothes: most of the places require long slave shirts and shorts which covering knees. There’s a possibility to rent paints and shirts in Center of the Universe, although you won’t be able to rent this kind of clothes in Hell (even though you’re expected to wear ones)
To be comfortable while exploring caves get proper (water) shoes and shorts. Some part of the cave you’ll be exploring by wading in the water of your knee level
Viewpoints are located a bit high, so we’ll hike about 300m up the hill. Make sure you have the right shoes for that: sandals or sneakers are the best options, we guess
Camera: you might get excited about taking pictures as the places we’re visiting are really unique and almost free of tourists. Although, you’re not allowed to bring your camera to the Elephant’s Belly and Elephant’s Ear caves. That’s only one exception, in all other places you’re more than welcome to use your photo gear
